Siamese Cats

This painting was inspired by a recent painting trip to Italy. I stayed for a week at a farm/villa where there were a pair of Siamese cats among the many cats in the area whose job it was to control the mice I suspect. I thought they were so beautiful and graceful looking that I had to paint them.

    I love the loose brushwork in this painting along with the color in the background. Very strong and powerful for such a tiny painting!
