One day recently I set up next to the water to paint this view of the Piscataqua Cafe in Newcastle, NH. I wanted to capture the light on the building and keep it as the focal point. Its always a challenge to stay with the original idea for me because I keep noticing more and more interesting things as I am painting, not to mention the changing conditions when painting outside. In the end I think I accomplished what I set out to do and it was such a great way to spend an afternoon! Lucky!

Art Critic
Another beautiful fall day to paint outside, of course there's always the critique at the end of the session!
