kitchen series

                                                                    Order Up
                                                                8x10 Oil  200.

For this painting I wanted to use a limited palette and focus on the light and the contrast.

Not so small work

                                                    The Butcher and His Apprentice
                                                               11x14 oil   900.

This painting is being published in the April edition of American Art Collector Magazine.  I thought I would just put it out there in case anyone cares to check it out. I have recently finished another larger painting of an interior bar scene which I will post here soon also.

shopper series

                                                            Shopper With Green Bag
                                                                    8x10 oil
                                                                       300.
This is another from the shopper series.  She was in Florence , a great people (and dog) watching city.

shopper series

                                                                    Waiting
                                                                   8 x10 oil
                                                                      200.
This painting was done from a series I had done of people shopping.  This particular guy was in Milan outside one of the shops, waiting calmly while the dog was a little more anxious.   I tried to capture the contrast in their postures as well as the wonderful colors of that scene.

Stop In The Name of Love

Stop In The Name of Love
                                                                    6x6 oil  100.
This is the revised edition of the photo of this painting which has a lot more blue in it and is truer to the actual color than the photo I had previously posted here.  Maybe I should have retitled it as - Love Is Blind!

The Couples Series

                                                                        Kisses
                                                                    6x6 oil 150.
I tried to publish this one for Valentine's Day but somehow it didn't show up yesterday. I was trying to stretch my imagination for different types of subjects for the couple series.  This one came easily since the candy was right there in front of me. I liked the glow that the silver one took on from being next to the red. Reminded me of a blush.

Another Couple

Stop In The Name Of Love
                                                                   6x6 oil  150.

Another small painting from the couple series. The color on this piece is showing as a little more sepia in it than there actually is in this photo.  The original piece has more blues in the shadows and background. I will post it again after I tweak it on i photo.  Fun subject to paint!
