About this painting: This was also done from inspiration at the farm in Tuscany called Spanocchia, where aside from being a retreat for artists of all kinds, they teach interns from all over the world about how to raise meats and process them into sausage, prosciutto, and all other types of of prepared foods and cuts of meats.  The guy on the left was a local butcher who came to the farm each day to work with the interns often arriving with a whole pig in his refrigerated truck!

This work has just been juried into the NH Art association's 11th Annual Joan Dunfey Memorial Show which will be hanging at the Levey Gallery on State St. in Portsmouth Nh, form Nov. 3 - 26th. There will be an artists reception on Fri. Nov. 5th from 5 - 8.  Come if you can and see this along with other fine art from local artists!
